It’s through the work of club committees that the Sunset Club provides service to our local and global communities, retains our members, develops leaders for our club, and supports the mission of Rotary International. There are currently new committees being assembled for the 2011-2012 year and they will be working to continue building this unique and active club.

Service Projects
Service Above Self is Rotary’s principal motto. This committee is the heart and soul of the club by carrying out service projects that improve the quality of life in our community and communities around the world. Special Events
This committee is the muscle of the club. Special events range from our signature events to more casual fellowship opportunities and Sunset Socials. It is the muscle of the club because it supports all of the club activities by hosting social and fundraising events. Membership
This committee is the blood or life force of the club. It focuses on strengthening club membership by identifying eligible club members and mentoring and retaining strong club members in creative ways. Speakers/Programs
This committee is the brain of the club. Every week the Speakers/Programs Committee hosts diverse programs and speakers to help nurture the mind and spirits of club members. The weekly programs range from education on Rotary and existing programs, to awareness of local opportunities and even practical life skills. Rotary Foundation
This committee is the vision of the club. It educates club members on the mission of The Rotary Foundation, illustrates the global impact of Rotary, and leads the club to participate in Rotary Foundation Programs such as PolioPlus. Communications
This committee is the face of Rotary. It leads activities to improve the public image of the Sunset Club through the internet (club website, social media), traditional media (publications, television, radio), club materials, advertising, networking and creating other important club resources. Club Administration
This committee is the skeleton or framework of the club. It conducts activities associated with the effective operation of the club and helps support the functions of the club Secretary and Treasurer.
