Rotary Rocks the Half

The Sunset Club has put together a team of runners and walkers to participate in the Rock’n'Roll Half Marathon in St. Petersburg. We will be running or walking for our own health, but also to help raise awareness for Rotary (more specifically Rotary clubs in District 6950) and the Childrens’ Dream Fund. Our club is sponsoring this rotary event, but we are trying to gather support from other local clubs in our district. We would like to raise funds to support the dreams of 2 children diagnosed with a life threatening illness through the Childrens’ Dream Fund.

What: The Rock’n'Roll Half Marathon
Where: Downtown St. Petersburg (starting at Tropicana Field and finishing at the Pier)
When: February 12, 2012

Training

On Saturday mornings a group of runners/walkers will be meeting at 8:00am in the north side of the North Shore Pool parking lot.

Donations

Not a runner or walker? No problem! You can also help by being spectators and cheerleaders at the event, or through donations to support the Children’s Dream Fund and the Rotary Sunset Foundation. You can make online donations using the widget to the right, or on the Rock the Half page of our site. If you would like to donate via check you can make it payable to the Sunset Rotary Foundation and it can be mailed to: PO Box 757, St. Petersburg, FL 33731.
