The Sunset Club will be having our Installation Dinner on June 16th at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. The event will feature a great program to celebrate the new incoming leadership and show our gratitude to those whose terms are coming to an end. We would also like to award some folks among our membership that have displayed character and attitudes that have contributed positively to the club as a whole. These honors will be decided by the entire club, and voting for these awards opened today. Each club member received an “electronic ballot” by email, so please be sure to vote before June 10th. This year’s awards are:
Most Club Spirit
This person most embodies the spirit of our club and encourages the group to succeed. This person is proud to be a Sunset Club member and Rotarian, and takes every opportunity to share it.
Life of the Party
An ambassador of good fellowship, this person most embodies the Sunset Club’s additional 4-Way test query of “Is it Fun?!?” Whether we are talking business at a club assembly, hanging out at a social event or breaking a sweat on a service project, this person is always having a good time, keeping people engaged and making us smile.
Always Goes Above and Beyond
This person most embodies the Rotary motto of Service Above Self. They always give it their all and serve without expectation of reward or praise, as the motive for their service is simply to make our club, our community and the world a better place.
Most Likely to Kick Tail and Take Names
Our own Sunset Club superhero, this person has a take charge attitude and can be relied upon to make things happen. With a no nonsense approach, this person takes no lip and always finds a way to get the job done.
Most Likely to Quietly Take Over the World
This smart and subtle Rotary ninja flies under the radar and has the ability to influence those around them in meaningful ways without making a sound. Leadership does not always have to be loud, and this person knows it.
If any club member did NOT receive a link to the electronic ballot in their email, please let the Communications Committee know at the next meeting and they will see that it gets resent. We would like to get 100% participation in this determining these awards, so please be sure to cast your votes!
And stay tuned for the Installation Dinner details!
