The Sunset Club Service Committee has put together a job skills program for the youth at Ready for Life, and will be holding the workshop this weekend at Pinellas County Job Corps Center in St. Petersburg. Several club members and friends of the club have been hard at work over the last few months creating a program that touches on topics such as searching for a job, the application and interview process, and some general rules of conduct for maintaining a good employment record. Those in attendance will participate in three distinct sessions, each led by a pair of representatives from the club, who are eager to share their skills and insights with the job seeking young adults.
In addition to sharing their skills, the workshop team will be providing the youth with some job search essentials including, portfolios in which to keep materials, post-interview thank you cards, and ties for interested gentlemen to wear to interviews.
